Thomas Emmer, MD

Joining Orthopaedic Associates in January 2023, Thomas Emmer, MD, is a board-certified surgeon specializing in Orthopaedic Trauma. He is an active member with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Orthopedic Trauma Association.

 

Prior to joining OA, Dr. Emmer spent the majority of his life in northeastern Ohio where he completed most of his education with many honors and awards. After college, he went on to Huntington, West Virginia where he completed his Orthopaedic residency at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He later returned to Ohio for his fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

 

With his love for an active lifestyle, Dr. Emmer dedicates a lot of his free time to his physical health, a newly developed interest in cycling, and volunteers at a local humane society walking dogs for Mutts Morning Out and Canine Cardio programs. 

 

True to his home state, he remains a loyal football fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. When time allows, he enjoys traveling back home to visit his family and friends.
