Orthopaedic Associates Announces New Trauma Surgeon
Evansville, IN – Orthopaedic Associates is pleased to welcome trauma surgeon Isaac W. Fehrenbacher, MD to the practice.
Dr. Fehrenbacher will see patients at Orthopaedic Associates office in downtown Evansville, on Read Street. He will cover trauma and perform surgeries at Deaconess Hospital Main Campus, a Level II Trauma Center.
Dr. Fehrenbacher earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University before attending Medical School at Indiana University. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship in 2016 with IU Health Deaconess Henderson Hospital.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Beyond trauma, his practice will focus on non-unions and deformity corrections and he looks forward to expanding his specialties to other practice areas.
He lives in Evansville with his wife Shely, who is a Family Practice Resident with the Deaconess Family Medicine Residency Program. They were married in March and are expecting their first child this spring. When Dr. Fehrenbacher is not caring for patients, his hobbies include working on cars and spending time in his garage. He enjoys motorsports and amateur racing, in addition to cooking, gardening snow skiing and biking.
While he is from Indianapolis, his family is from Evansville and he is excited to be practicing in the region. “My favorite memories were made right here in Evansville,” said Fehrenbacher. “My family’s farm in Posey County holds a special place in my heart, and we’re looking forward to starting a family of our own in Southern Indiana.”
